Goodwood Festival Of Speed: Aston Martin Crash

Most of you will remember the John Dawson-Damer fatal accident @ Goodwood which claimed the lives both of John Dawson-Damer and marshal Andrew Carpenter. Happily enough the driver in this accident got away with some minor injuries. The car was an Aston Martin V8 rally GT built by Prodrive, the driver was a Prodriver salesman who was demonstrating the car to a customer who had bought it.

Goodwood Festival Of Speed

"The Festival of Speed is far more than just a hillclimb it can justifiably claim to be the world’s biggest and most diverse celebration of the history of motor sport. It is the only occasion where you will see in action the greates competition cars and star drivers from all eras: everything from 19th century steam carriages to current Formula One; fabulous racing motorcycles; classic rally cars to 3000bhp dragsters; plus motor sport legends like Moss, Surtees, Brabham and Andretti rubbing shoulders with today's hottest properties such as Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Petter Solberg and Colin McRae."

Snapped: Porsche 997 GT2

The Porsche 911 GT2 is not so far away from us, at the moment it's undergoing its final tests. Just like before the GT2 has elements from the GT3 while using a Turbo motor. What simply means that it'll be fast! The RWD 997 twin turbo is 100kg more lighter and will get some 520 hp.

Lamborghini Meets St. Moritz 2007

St. Moritz is just the perfect spot to hold meetings like this one. Since the 50's, rallies and meetings are common on that beautiful 1600mtrs high plateau in the southern Swiss Alps. Honestly, I don't know if this is the first time that this event takes place, but I can imagine that with those great roads/passes this must be an awesome event. Make sure to Click "Read More" for some cool video's and more pics! Ive also found some more pictures here

Porsche 997 GT3 Crash @ Spa - Francorchamps

Hate to be in his shoes. Crashing a brand new Porsche 997 GT3, you don't want this to happen. At least the driver was able to leave his car and he was ok. Watch the video here

Spotted: Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

I absolutely love the color of this Gallardo Superleggera, the overall look of it is simply just gorgeous. A lucky Czech GTspirit forum member took the Italian bolide on a trip and took these pictures. The limited edition, track-friendly Gallardo is limited to 350 units for 2007, so you must be lucky to catch one on the streets, let alone driving one. Follow this link for some vids and  Click " Read More" for the gallery.

Spy Shots: 2008 Porsche Boxster facelift

New pictures of the Porsche Boxster facelift showed up, you can see it undergoing some tests at the "Ring" in Germany. The car will be available somewere at the beginning of 2008. Just like the new 911 Turbo, the Boxster will also have LED daytime running lights, a re-designed front bumper and more circular air intakes. There is no news on any power upgrades, probably a little power hike can be expected.

I Like It!: Mustang Obsidian Coupé R

I usually don't like American muscle cars, but some of them I do like. Now this is one of them, this is one mean machine. It's a modified Mustang Obsidian Coupé R, but as you would think, why one has to tune old automobile glories? Well just take a look at all those details, by respecting the base and its spirit but by using current technical solutions they created a unique piece of masterwork.

A 6.4-litre V8 with 2 compressors is fitted which produces 900 hp, I guess this is what they call an American muscle car! Click " Read More" for the full gallery Via: caradisiac
